01

Introduction

Veyl ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy. We operate from Jalan Ampang 128, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysia.

This policy covers our website at veyl.world and applies whenever you browse our pages, submit an enquiry, or register interest in any of our learning programmes. It does not apply to third-party websites we may link to.

Malaysian data subjects are protected under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). This policy is written in line with those requirements.

If you have questions about anything in this document, write to us at [email protected] before proceeding.

03

How We Use Your Data

We use the information we hold for the following purposes:

  • Responding to enquiries — to answer questions about our reading tracks, lab companion, and team programmes.
  • Programme delivery — to provide access to materials and workbooks once you enrol.
  • Communication — to send programme-related updates, schedule confirmations, and follow-up messages.
  • Website improvement — to understand which topics and pages are most useful, so we can improve the learning content.
  • Legal obligations — to comply with applicable Malaysian law when required.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces significant effects for you.

If you wish to receive occasional programme announcements and new content notifications, you may opt in at the point of enquiry. You may withdraw that preference at any time by emailing [email protected].

04

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — hosting, email delivery, and analytics tools that process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. These providers may not use your data for their own purposes.
  • Legal requirements — when disclosure is required by Malaysian law, a court order, or lawful authority.
  • Business continuity — in the unlikely event of a merger or transfer of business, your data would transfer to a successor entity under the same protective terms.

Where service providers are located outside Malaysia, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection is in place for any transfer of personal data.

05

Data Protection Measures

We apply technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we hold:

  • Data in transit is protected by TLS/HTTPS encryption.
  • Access to personal data is restricted to staff and contractors who need it to carry out their responsibilities.
  • We use access controls and periodic reviews to limit the number of personnel with elevated data permissions.
  • Our hosting environment is maintained with current security patches and monitored for unusual activity.
  • We review and update our security practices on a regular basis.

In the event of a personal data breach that could affect your rights, we will notify you and, where required, the relevant authority within the timeframes set by the PDPA.

06

Cookies

Our website uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser — to remember your preferences and understand how the site is used.

  • Essential cookies — necessary for the site to function. They cannot be turned off.
  • Analytics cookies — help us measure page visits and identify popular content. Optional.
  • Marketing cookies — used for advertising relevance tracking. Optional.
  • Preference cookies — remember your settings between visits. Optional.

When you first visit the site, a notice at the bottom of the page lets you accept all cookies, manage individual categories, or decline non-essential cookies. You can update your preferences at any time on our Cookie Policy page.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external site you visit before providing any personal information there.

09

Children's Privacy
